Contant Building

That's what I made before integrating team efforts

Beyond WIX

Those necessary alternations makes paddleocr.ai possible

Website Story: My Struggles and Solutions

Background

I majored in Artificial Intelligence. Building websites started as a hobby—an outlet to connect with my inner self, the part of me that studied painting for seven years. I wanted to create art in a new format, one where I no longer needed to use sorrow as fuel, but instead engage in the beauty of real life.

I taught myself both frontend and backend development, not just for skill’s sake, but because I genuinely love the open-source coding community. For me, it’s more than a format—it’s a lifestyle.

The Domain

Together with Gather Thoughts, we secured the domain paddleocr.ai at a time when others were already taken. It felt like claiming space for a vision.

Initial Phase

We focused on building an online demo and a temporary website using Wix for fast deployment. This phase ran from April 10 to May 20.

Content Building

I added a wide range of information to help explain the model, including benchmark results (sourced from ChatGPT) and a gradually developed content management system (CMS). I also created dedicated pages for each model to ensure clarity and accessibility.

Team Integration

We began integrating with the core development team—highlighting their contributions through profile photos and quotes to reflect the human side of the project.

Hugging Face & ModelScope Demos

I built online demos for **PP-Structure** on both Hugging Face and ModelScope. It was a new task, but the same determined me—I felt unstoppable at that point.

Challenges & Support

While working under pressure, I developed acute gastritis due to stress. But the project manager’s consistent encouragement and positive feedback kept me going and helped me realign my mindset.

Visual Coherence

To create a better integration experience, I redesigned demo banners to align visually with our platform. For me, painting has always been a joy—and this design work felt like a natural continuation of that.

Technical Collaboration

I worked closely with the backend team to make adjustments based on the latest information and helped address CORS issues for better integration.

Completion

And finally—we made it.
